The Side Snap Cowl

The hand woven Side Snap cowl is one of our most popular items, but we do get questions on how to wear the cowl. It’s quite easy! Follow these basic steps:

Start with the cowl behind you and the leather tabs pointed up and on the left side.

Take the leather tab closest to the fringe and attach it to the bottom snap.

Next, take the tab furthest from the fringe and attach it to the snap on top.

This should cinch the snap side in. If needed, rotate the leather tabs so the tops or pointed up.

Rotate the cowl slightly so the cowl points down in the center and the the snap side fringe is tucked away. Fold the top part of the cowl in to complete the look.

The Organic Cotton Woven Cowl

The hand woven Organic Cotton Woven Cowl is another favorite piece.

Here’s how to wear this cowl.

Start with cowl behind you and the leather tab closest to the fringe pointed up and on the left side.

Take that leather tab and attach it to the snap furthest from the fringe.

The leather tab will go in front of the snap side of the cowl to accomplish this step.

Next, take the snap closest to the fringe and attach it to the leather tab furthest from the fringe.

The snap side of the cowl will go under the leather tab side to accomplish this step.

Adjust cowl, if needed, so the point is in the center, fringe is on both sides and the top part of the cowl is tucked under slightly.

Fabric Bandana Cowl

The fabric bandana cowl is available in many different colors, designs, and fabrics.

Start by holding the cowl in front of you; fringed point pointing down, leather tab in each hand and snap components facing out

This is the backside of the cowl, note the leather back tabs. These are important for snapping and unsnapping.

Take leather tabs and bring behind your neck and to front of cowl.

Feel for back leather tab and snap components together on one side.

Do the same on the other side.

Move cowl to the correct position, making sure everything looks and feels right.

Leather tabs should be near your shoulders and fringed point should be centered.

You can pull the top part of the cowl across your face to keep warm or tuck it in a bit for a more casual look.
